949 Camino Oraibi for rent in Santa Fe, NM

1 of 7
This house was completely remodeled five years ago from the walls out. It includes new kitchen, baths, floors, door handles, painting, landscaping, window treatments. Among the improvements are forced-air cooling, recirculating hot water ( to have warm water sooner to places far from the hot water source to save money and time), wall heater in primary bathroom, electrically retractable awning for controlling sun and rain in winter and summer, thermostatically controlled heating and cooling, deep well sink with filtered cool water, gas stove for cooking with griddle-ready burner. Not least beneficial is the addition of a doggy-door from the studio/office so that owners don't have to return to the house every four hours or so to let a dog out. The house itself is well-situated so that all but one room faces south, for passive solar warmth in winter and maximum light in the house when wanted. The windows face the back yard where native plants and deciduous and evergreen trees provide color and life in the form of butterflies and hummingbirds. The garden is irrigated and on solar controlled timers. The house is in a neighborhood of similar houses (Pueblo Alegre), with an HOA that maintains the two private parks and the areas between sidewalks and streets. There is just the one entrance by vehicle to Pueblo Alegre which is located off Aqua Fria. It's just across from Frenchy's Field where there is a walking/ biking trail that goes to downtown Santa Fe and on out toward south Santa Fe. Over a bridge behind Pueblo Alegre is another walking/biking trail (Acequia Trail) that goes by a couple of parks on its way to the Railyard and Farmers Market. From here you can meet a friend downtown in 15 minutes or get out of town to wilder areas in the same 15 minutes.
