W. S. Haynes Classic Cut Silver Flute Headjoint in Case - Awesome! For sale is this used Haynes sterling silver headjoint. "Classic" cut. This headjoint is a work horse! Awesome warm, huge, sound. Great variety of color, easy to pop out or blend. Fat low register and lovely round, clear high register. I purchased this used and played it for several years in pit-work and when I was doubling. I used it with a Yamaha 881 and it was awesome. For me, personally, it was easy to switch between reeds and this head, and still get a great, clear flute sound. Most recently it was used by a friend on her masters recital in Texas - I believe she used it with a Brannen and was very pleased with the results. That was in 2018, and it hasn't been used since - I'm trying to downsize and it's time for this to go. : )The headjoint is in excellent, usable condition. There are some superficial scratches and two very small dings: one towards the top and one on the tenon. These are the result of pit work (sorry), but are cosmetic only and do not affect the sound. They could, of course, be removed and buffed out by a good tech if you desire. It comes with a silver plated tenon cap (worn, but not ugly) and a brand new wood case that is very pretty!
