We are currently seeking a System Security Engineer to join our team in Sante Fe, New Mexico (US-NM), United States (US).

Provide subject matter expertise on all security-related requirements, concerns or questions throughout HHS 2020 life cycle Participate as technical security expert in requirements sessions, procurement development, integrated delivery management or other forums as appropriate Review deliverables or other work products for appropriate, complete security content or management Support the HHS Project Administration leader in understanding and enforcing personnel, facility, technology and other security requirements related to providing services to HHS 2020 Help ensure that all HHS 2020 vendors are appropriately following all security requirements Identify risks, issues and/or action items related to security, alert the management/executive team to these concerns, and help identify and implement resolutions or mitigation approaches As needed, help identify and procure services of contractor security experts to support specific project activities Participate in review of proposals for the Integration Platform to assess, raise questions and help score security-related aspects Review and provide recommendations regarding security-related requirements in remaining MMISR RFPs Participate with Delivery Management Team during Integration Platform implementation to help ensure appropriate implementation of security requirements and to help resolve any security-related questions or issues Participate in MMISR certification preparation Develop and/or assist with development of security related documentation Ensure knowledge transfer is done through training in the last year as part of transitioning activities Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree and 5
years of work experience or 7
years of work experience in the Security arena 5
years' experience integrating security into system development life cycle (SDLC) phases and activities 5
years' experience performing risk management framework and system authorization tasks in a FISMA (i.
e.
, federal government agency) setting 5
years' experience with basic Information Security principles Preferred Skills:
Strong critical thinking with ability to analyze information and processes Good communication skills able to liaison with multiple levels of management Able to identify key root issues and advise people how to achieve goals Degree in Computer Science or Engineering One of the following certifications:
CISSP, CEH, CISA, GSNA, or similar certification.
Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, CAP, or CISA Strong technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, and n-tier applications Familiarity with ITIL and NIST standards and guidance including FIPS 199, FIPS 200, and the 800 series of Special Publications Strong Knowledge of Identity Management and corresponding best practices, processes, and technologies Formal education or professional experience in information assurance, information security management, or security operations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
