We have an immediate opening for a Supply
attendant
responsible for materials management in PCS, MRO and OSP construction and cable yards. The
employee
will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy and associated investment for plug-ins in Central Offices and garage locations, as well as OSP material, HSI modems, Tech Tad devices and supports the OCS/Radio material/storeroom. The employee will also be required to provide contractor support as assigned. The employee will be required to work and travel various tours and hours as determined by the needs of the business. They will travel to and provide supply chain support at several metro and remote locations as needed.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
Establish & maintain appropriate stock levels of all materials utilized by network technicians in the completion of customer orders to ensure service objectives are met.
Order, receive and put away materials in pre-established bins, shelves and other locations within the garage/storeroom.
Check Stocking levels (MRO) and return excess or order materials as needed.
Keep storeroom and garage well organized and clean.
Set up and rearrange storeroom layout when needed.
Re-grid LNO garage locations as assigned.
Re-label PID numbers when required.
Post and maintain all current material min/max levels on shelf labels.
Get rid of all empty boxes in a timely manner.
Check caged areas and make sure they are clean, neat and orderly.
Do Cycle Counts if/when directed by your immediate
supervisor
or required by OAT process.
Do FAMT Life Inventory and process if required.
Check PIC''s area for ordering/returns and process defective and good PIC''s.
Return and track excess stock to Denver Logistics Warehouse as defined by process.
Maintain, select, package and ship equipment, tools and test sets in need of
repair
.
Provide available local stock for emergency rush orders.
Replace old bins with new ones.
LNO Yard Duties:
Establish and maintain appropriate stock levels of all materials utilized by Network Technicians in the completion of customer orders to ensure service objectives are met.
Clean inside and outside yard area, including docks. This includes dusting, sweeping and picking up and discarding trash in appropriate container and restocking usable material, etc.
Walk the LNO yard frequently and ensure that we have no excess cable and or associated materials in the garage.
Must be able to operate lifting devices such as pallet jacks and forklift and lift gates.
Maintain reel yards which handle all contract or cable and material with appropriate in/out logs.
Use forklift to move materials as needed, organize cable reels by size.
De-reel cable if necessary and make it into a hand coil and then tag it.
Assist with Monthly CMC yard inventory where applicable in association with the CI''s.
Ability to work with all types of material including HazMat.
Deliver emergency out of service material to specific locations.
Coordinate transportation/delivery of plug-in material.
Support and Partner with Central office/outside Plant Technicians and Managers.
Send back pallets and empty reels to the DLC.
Manage material via Excel spreadsheets, Access databases and Word documents.
Prepare material requisition and orders via QProcure (SAP) system.
Order capital tools as required.
Analyze orders/receipts and report errors including overages, shortages and damages.
Check status regularly on backordered material.
Arrange and coordinate material/transportation utilizing telephone, email and/or fax.
Communicate effectively and problem solve with technicians, managers and contractors.
Assist when needed for re-planning of FAMT Life PICS Levels.
Work with Customer Service Center (CSC) to resolve PICS backorders.
Receives, log, distribute and return materials and BVAPP
jobs
to appropriate office.
Notify planners of location/description movement of MRO materials.
Coordinate pick up/delivery for Repair and Return material.
Identify and redirect lost or misdirected shipments.
Provide order only material management
services
for various central offices/storerooms in the remote locations.
Provide back up support for other Supply Attendants as needed.

Qualifications Required:
Must be able to demonstrate
computer
skills including Word, Access, Excel and email.
Must be able to use FAC tool to order forms and printed materials.
Must be able to drive manual transmission.
Must have current Forklift experience within the last 60 days and must have a valid Forklift certification card.
Must be able to travel in company vehicle on a daily basis or as required by the needs of the business.
Must satisfy CenturyLink/OSHA requirements to be certified as an operator on several types of material handling equipment including various sizes and types of forklifts.
Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions ranging from 120 degrees to -30 degrees F.
Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity, but not limited to lifting/moving 125 lbs. loading and unloading reels in excess of 8,000 lbs.
Must be able to set up shelving, rearranging/organize, maintain storerooms, yard and garages.
Must be able to load/unload
vehicles
, cleaning vehicles ready to be turned in to fleet.
Must be able to perform work activities in adverse weather conditions i.e. cold, snow/rain, heat and dusty/windy, dirty environments without difficulty.
Must be able to access overhead shelving using stepladders.
Must work well within a team environment.
Must have experience and knowledge of material and tools used by Network Technicians.
Experienced in using, implementing and maintaining the FAMT LTTE process.
Must be able to articulate the OAT processes and manage materials accordingly.
Successful completion of all testing and interviews required for this
position
.
Must be willing and able to perform strenuous physical activity, but not limited to moving/lifting 125 lbs.
Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
Valid driver''s license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be flexible to work schedule changes-backfilling for peers, special projects.
Must be able to travel-week, days at a time.
MUST be able to take direction.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience utilizing Q-Procure ordering system.
Familiar with material and tools used by Network Technicians.
Familiar with construction/cable yard processes.
Familiar with contractor guidelines and processes.
Experience in ordering, receipting and maintaining/updating inventory spreadsheets.
Experience and demonstrate proficiency utilizing the SAP ordering system.
Experience with and knowledge of Life Cycle Asset
manager
(LCAM) system.
Experience and knowledge of PICS (PLUG-IN) equipment used by Network Technicians.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Fiber Material.
Knowledgeable and experienced in identifying Construction materials.
Experience working directly with MRO and PICS materials within the last 30 days.
Special Job Requirements:
Upon hire, position requires that selected candidate satisfy CenturyLink/OSHA requirements outlined for a certified forklift operator.
Requirements will include written and hands on testing, which will be conducted on site.
