SDepartment of Education at the time the degree was obtainedLicensure Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United StatesExperience Applicant's qualifications background must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary to perform the work of the positionPharmacy work requires knowledge of the use, clinical effects, and composition of medications, including their chemical, biological, and physical propertiesQualifying professional pharmacy experience may involve, but is not limited to:
Dispensing medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and providing information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications and side effectsEvaluating medication use patterns and outcomes for patients in hospitals or managed care organizationsPerforming administrative, consultative, or staff advisory work for a medical facility's pharmacy programPlanning, monitoring and evaluating medication programs or regimensEstablishing medication-handling procedures for the storage and preservation of medicationsResearching medical literature and/or clinical medication information to provide accurate responses to inquiries; and/or Maintaining all medication records required by lawIn addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below:

Basic Requirements for the GS-11 (or equivalent) Grade Level 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.

Dor equivalent doctoral degreeBasic Requirements for the GS-12 (or equivalent) Grade Level In addition to the requirements for the GS-11 (or equivalent) level, applicants must have a minimum of one year of professional pharmacy experienceProfessional experience within a hospital system or a pharmacy based clinic which include experience in evaluating medication regimens for appropriateness (i.
e, drug, dose, indication, and duration), drug/disease interactions, therapeutic duplications, drug utilization, and adverse drug eventsProvides therapeutic and pharmacokinetic drug monitoringAnalyzes medication regimens to ensure the most effective, least toxic, and most economical treatment planUsing patient specific factors, calculates, initiates, monitors and adjusts medications that require pharmacokinetic monitoringDevelops, initiates, monitors, and adjusts medication orders per pharmacy protocols and collaborative practice agreementsPrescribes over-the-counter medications, prescription medications and expendable medical supplies as related to the specialized clinics in accordance with pharmacy proceduresMedical Requirements Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colorsPublic Health Service (PHS) Licensure Policy:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
