POSITION
Summary: Assesses, administers, monitors and provides therapy and objective measurement for respiratory care procedures.
Requirements
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Successful completion of a CoARC accredited respiratory care program for registered respiratory therapists.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Possesses and provides an active New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and is in good standing with all regulatory agencies. The practitioner may not be eligible for employment or continued employment if there are restrictions or disciplinary proceedings pending. Provides documentation of the NBRC s RRT credential. Possesses and provides proof of the minimum certification of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association. Additional ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications are preferred. The employee is responsible for maintaining all licenses and certifications throughout the duration of employment.
SKILLS: Manual dexterity to provide respiratory therapy and operate equipment.
Experience: Experience in all age-specific competency groups preferred.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Manager of Respiratory Therapy Center
ENVIRONMENT:
Bloodborne pathogen - C
Routine exposure to aerosol or serum-borne pathogens.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and manual dexterity.
