Be part of a dynamic workplace - apply today! As a Recruiter /HR Assistant at Youth Shelters and Family Services, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent to support our organizations objectives.
You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience.
What would my job responsibilities be? Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and create detailed job descriptions.
Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate suitability and alignment with company culture.
Coordinate and schedule interviews, providing support and guidance to both hiring managers and candidates.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to offer negotiation Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in recruitment Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Provide assistance in financial and program audits.
Provide support with completion of employee data reports (to include assembling, preparing, and analyzing data).
Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
Provide support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
Coordinate training for new hire and existing employees by coordinating with internal or external trainers.
Track training by identifying and when various employees require trainings or refresher courses, calendar management, enrollment of employees, and tracking training completion.
What are the qualifications and experience I need to become a recruiter/HR Assistant? Associate degree in Human Services, Human Resources, Business Administration and one year of relevant experience preferred.
OR HR Certificate or two to three years related experience.
OR 3 to 5 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED.
Experience with homeless and at-risk youth, preferred.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and candidates Excellent organizational and time-management skills Knowledge of employment laws and regulations What are the scheduled shift you are looking to fill? Monday through Friday between 8AM to 5PM What does the pay look like for this position? Starting rate of pay is $20/hour or higher depending on experience.
