Why does the job exist? This position provides high level administrative support to the General Counsel and staff to include organization and operations of the Office of General Counsel.
The position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the office including staffing, coordination between divisions, contracts, administrative, maintaining a budget, personnel, and other necessary operational support.
This position will be the lead legislative liaison for the Office of General Counsel including coordinating legislative requests for analysis between Office of Policy and Analysis and the Office of General Counsel.
The position will handle sensitive materials protected by attorney/client privilege, personnel information & protected health information.
The position will process personnel matters, including the coordination of new hires, transfers, promotions, assisting with processing incoming and outgoing employees, and other personnel issues at the direction of the General Counsel.
How does it get done? The position will operate independently to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the office including staffing, coordination between divisions, contracts, administrative, maintaining a budget, personnel, and other necessary operational support.
The position will be required to identify administrative problem areas, identify what is necessary to keep the office functioning at a high level, and then work toward developing necessary policies and procedures to address all identified issues and needs in consultation with the General Counsel.
Who are the customers? This positions supports the entire Office of General Counsel.
Ideal Candidate Preferred experience and education include an associates degree and four years of related experience in office administration to include experience in three of more functional areas.
Minimum Qualification High School diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years work experience in office administration.

Direct client interaction and some statewide travel may be required.
