Why does the job exist? This position will be working within the Marketing Excellence Bureau which was enacted by the Legislature of the State of New Mexico.
The Marketing Excellence Bureau will serve as a centralized collection of marketing-focused expertise, knowledge and resources to support the program goals of the executive branch agencies and provide guidance, information, support and training related to marketing efforts.
It will support strategy alignment and develop efficiencies for marketing efforts for all executive branch agencies.
This position will assist executive branch agencies in identifying and developing new market strategies and technology solutions to enhance the agencies' marketing efforts and lead the marketing strategy, asset creation and advertising placements for the economic development corporation and for all executive branch agencies and marketing and public education programs.
How does it get done? The duties which this position will be tasked with include:
1) Manage intake of interested governmental marketing initiatives to the Center of Excellence, inclusive of budgets, strategic priorities, and audience-level and behavioral targets.
2) Creating best practices for creative production and communications strategy, as well as efficiencies in media buying, per the partner s timing and budgetary needs.
3) Owns communication with partners end-to-end, from intake form to strategic planning to campaign implementation to post- campaign reporting.
4) Provide technical assistance to governmental stakeholders for the implementation of external marketing/advertising contracts, including developing marketing scopes of work and consultative expertise in campaign outcomes.
5) Manage activities regarding creative layouts, approvals, final proofs, campaign tracking, and metrics reporting back to partners.

Experience:
3-5 years of experience preferred; Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism.
Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position.

Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certificate within thirty (30) days of date of hire as a condition of employment.
Working Conditions Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer, tablet, printer, calculator, cellphone, copy machine, scanner, keyboard, and telephone usage.
Occasional travel, working extra hours, working on weekends and holidays.
