Why does the job exist? The Web and Social Coordinator (WSC) is a key member of ECECD communications team, acting as the on-line ambassador for the programs and services that support New Mexico children and families.
The WSC will be responsible for managing ECECD social media platforms, updating the website, and developing comprehensive on-line outreach strategies to ensure that ECECD key stakeholders and constituents understand the programs, services, and opportunities available to them.
The WSC work will have a special focus on supporting programs and services that serve children during their most important developmental period:
ages 0-3 years.
How does it get done? The primary responsibilities of the Web and Social Coordinator include:
Developing ECECD social media strategy and social media messaging calendar in consultation with the communications team Writing social media content that t is engaging, informative, compelling and easily understood by readers Adapting core agency messaging and producing content tailored to ECECD social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/ X).
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
Graphic design for web and print (including brochures, flyers, social media graphics) Developing individual audience outreach strategies to effectively communicate with key ECECD stakeholders and constituents Creating strategies for agency brand awareness Coordinating with partners to distribute materials on ECECD social media platforms Light video editing for web (reels) Attend ECECD events to capture images and video Who are the customers? The Web and Social Coordinator will work in close cooperation with a dynamic and growing communications team where creativity, mutual-respect, and work-life balance is celebrated.
The position reports to the Digital Communications Manager, and will also regularly collaborate with division directors, bureau chiefs, and community partners.

Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and two (2) years of experience in journalism, advertising and and/or marketing.

Working Conditions Work will be performed primarily in an office setting, but on occasion will be performed in the outdoors during all types of weather conditions and in close proximity to fish and wildlife.
Weekend and varied hours occasionally will be required for this position.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds and operate computers and photography equipment.
