Occupational Therapist (OT) in Rehabilitation:
An Occupational Therapist in rehabilitation works with patients who have physical, mental, and/or cognitive disabilities.
The goal of OT in rehabilitation is to help patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related tasks.
Responsibilities may include:
Assessing patients' needs and abilities Developing individualized treatment plans Providing therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and overall function Modifying and adapting equipment to meet patients' needs Educating patients and families on how to manage and prevent disabilities Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care Documenting patient progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy A valid state license to practice OT Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to motivate and empower patients Ability to handle physically and emotionally demanding patients Experience in rehabilitation preferred.
This is a not full time but contracted travel position.
